Vintage 2004 - A difficult year
The harvest began on September 23 and lasted four weeks. A wet, cold summer hadn't helped things. but the first three weeks of September saved the harvest.
In the end, after quite a bit of selection in the vineyards and in the cellar, the wines turned out well - the reds are fruity and seductively vinous and the whites have lots of material and a surprising minerality.
